Recently I started having trouble installing Elastix (CentOS 5.9) guests on my VMware server. The VMware server host is running CentOS 5.9. I keep getting this error when I am prompted in the “Disk Partitioning Setup” screen to partition the disks:
“An error has occurred – no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem.”
FIX:
When you create the virtual machine, select the "Custom" option (Not typical) and select IDE or LSI Logic SCSI
